Biographies
Founder biography, at three lengths.
Use whichever fits, unedited. If a shorter or differently-angled version is needed, ask — it is faster than cutting these down and losing the meaning.

Cecil Jones is the founder of Acquire Group Homes™, an education and operating-systems platform teaching entrepreneurs how to build shared-housing businesses and control the real estate behind them.
Short — 50 words
For an event programme, a panel listing or a podcast show note.
Cecil Jones is the founder of Acquire Group Homes™, a platform teaching entrepreneurs how to build shared-housing and group-home businesses and how to control the property behind them using conventional and creative acquisition strategies. He writes and speaks on housing, property control and referral systems in the Raleigh and Triangle market.
Long — 150 words
For a feature, a conference bio or a full introduction.
Cecil Jones is the founder of Acquire Group Homes™, an education, consulting and operating-systems platform built around a single proposition: that the housing business and the real-estate business are two different businesses, and that most people entering this field are taught only one of them. He teaches the full sequence — selecting a population, verifying demand, identifying who actually pays, building referral relationships, qualifying the legal model, finding and controlling the right property, filling it and running it — and the real-estate strategies that let an operator control valuable housing inventory without automatically relying on conventional bank financing. He is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, where the platform's methods are applied in the Triangle market first. He writes on housing economics, property control and referral systems, and he speaks with journalists and community organisations about the parts of this subject that are most often misdescribed.
Boilerplate
Approved language, ready to paste.
These are the formulations we have checked. If copy is written to a different shape, the meaning is usually what suffers — particularly the distinction between what we teach and what we operate.

Required context
Please include this where it is relevant.
A story that describes us as an operator of group homes, or as a licensing authority, is inaccurate — and we would rather correct it before publication than after.
What Acquire Group Homes™ is not
- We are not a licensed care provider, treatment provider or clinical service.
- We are not a real-estate brokerage, and we do not act as anyone's agent.
- We are not a licensing authority, and we do not issue licensing determinations.
- We are not a government agency or a government contractor.
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking on behalf of any agency, funder or placing organisation.
- We do not operate the residential properties referenced in our educational material.
Terminology
Five terms that are routinely used interchangeably. They are not.
Most inaccuracy in housing coverage traces back to these. Definitions are offered so they can be checked against any source, including us.
Shared housing
A housing model in which adults live independently in a shared property. The operator provides housing and ordinary property-management services — not treatment, personal care or clinical supervision.
Recovery residence
Structured alcohol- and drug-free housing, typically with peer accountability, house meetings and recovery expectations. It is a housing model, not a clinical treatment service.
Group home
A term used to describe several genuinely different models, some licensed and some not. Its legal meaning depends on who lives there and what services are provided — not on the label.
Property control
Holding the right to use and operate a property — through a lease, an option, a land contract, seller financing or a joint venture — without necessarily owning it.
Master lease
An agreement in which one party leases an entire property from the owner, usually for a longer term, and is responsible for the property's day-to-day use.
Brand assets
